Regarding as a significant sector of education, Communion implemented the project “Shukhi Jibon” as a series of learning content about the physical and mental health of the adolescents of Bangladesh. Facilitated by NCTB (National Curriculum and Textbook Board), Pathfinder partnered with us to reach them and increase awareness about their own health.
In April 2022, reproductive and sexual health awareness videos were telecasted in several TV channels for the students of grade 9-10 of Bengali Medium. Presented by teachers, informative videos on regular and contemporary issues about adolescent health development were shown on YouTube, Sangshad TV, Kishore Batayon, Amar School and other relevant platforms so that students everywhere around the country could get access.
Adolescents around the country especially in the marginal communities or in the rural areas lack in necessary education about their own minds and bodies. Young girls often end up being forced to marry when they are underage and there is a great absence of reproductive and sexual health awareness. The need for their knowledge in getting to know themselves and live better demands prominent solutions. Walking on that road, Communion has produced the enlightening educational contents for Pathfinder to reach and offer the young people healthy values and behaviors to be practiced throughout their lifetime.
