DPE launched a ground-breaking project called “Amar Ghore Amar School,”in collaboration with Communion, and project supported by A2i, in response to the profound effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on schooling. This innovative project, which debuted on April 15, 2020, and was shown on Sangsad Bangladesh TV and BTV, tackled the significant difficulties brought about by the closure of schools for pupils in pre-primary to Class 5.
Seeing the distinct challenges that over 35 million students—of whom over half are female—face as a result of schools closing, “Amar Ghore Amar School” sought to act as a spur for improvement. Communion responded to this challenge in education by taking the initiative. With 600 content pieces spanning every subject in the curriculum from pre-primary to Class 5, the project ensured a thorough and inclusive approach to learning.
Communion’s program became a symbol of resiliency by providing a complete curriculum suited for pre-primary through Class 5 children, guaranteeing that no kid was left behind in their quest for knowledge. “Amar Ghore Amar School” is an example of creativity and commitment, reducing the negative consequences of protracted school closures and reinforcing the value of education in the face of extraordinary difficulties.
